Savannah’s Got Talent!

Show us that you can sing, dance or play a musical instrument! Maybe you do magic tricks or a balancing act – whatever it is we would love to see talent from folks 12 and older and the top talent will be chosen on May 14, 2012.

This fun event is a fundraiser for Garlana Mathews, The Georgia Wild Shrimp to win the 2012 American Diabetes Association Kiss-a-Pig campaign. Contestants will post a video of their talent and register online. Votes (in the form of donations) can be made online to your favorite performer and a prize package will be awarded to the contestant who raises the most donations (votes).

All videos must be posted to YouTube and received by May 7, 2012 and the top 25 semi-finalists will compete at the Savannah’s Got Talent evening at the Savannah Theatre. Videos can be up to 1 minute and the actual performances are up to 2 minutes. There will be trophies awarded in the categories of dance, vocal, instrumental and other and a $1,000 cash prize for the overall winner. Judges will include Roger Moss, Artistic Director for the Savannah Children’s Choir.

Talent Show Rules

  • Entry videos are no more than 1 minute and performances are no more than 2 minutes.
  • Non-refundable registration fee per act of $25 will be a tax deductible donation for American Diabetes Association.
  • Deadline for video entries is May 7, 2012 and contestants will be notified by May 10, 2012.
  • Performance will be held at the Savannah Theatre on May 14, 2012 at 7:00 PM.
  • A prize package will be awarded to the performer who collects the most votes (online donations at $1 minimum).
  • A check for $1,000 will be presented on May 14, 2012 to the overall top performer/act.
  • Trophies will be presented to the top performer/act in song, dance, instrumental and other categories.
  • All performances will be in good taste.
  • Parent/guardian must sign a release form for minors (under 18).
